Recorder Asks for Legible Signatures on Documents

Jeanine Perry, Lucas County Recorder has asked that all documents to be recorded have legible signatures including the notary, per the Ohio Revised Code Section 317.11. The name should be printed, typed or stamped beneath the signature. Please make sure your notary stamp is fully inked.
The bottom line is – if our scanners can’t see it or read it – we can’t record it!
