The Lucas County Solid Waste Management District (LCSWMD) was formed on March 6, 1989
and was established as a single county District with the Lucas County Board of
Commissioner as its Board of Directors.
The Lucas County Solid Waste Management District’s goal is to enable residents to be able to easily recycle more items through various and continued programs offered by the District. Also, the District will maintain and continue our present programs with businesses and industry. Working together with all Cities, Townships, and Villages in Lucas County enables the District to be able to adjust our programs to meet the District’s recycling responsibilities as directed by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.
