1. Can I get an extension on my Traffic Fines?

Yes, you can have the deadline for your fines extended on a Traffic Case, if you appear in person at the Juvenile Justice Center.

2. What is Mediation and why was my case referred to that Program?

Mediation is a process in which parties come together with a third party neutral (Mediator) to discuss the complaint / motion that has been brought before the Court.

The mediator will help facilitate the process and aim to resolve the complaint without further Court involvement.

3. What kinds of Cases are heard at the Juvenile Court?

Juvenile Divisions hear cases involving persons under 18 years of age, and cases dealing with unruly, abused, dependent, and neglected children.

They also have jurisdiction in adult cases involving paternity, child abuse, nonsupport, visitation, custody, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

4. How do I file a continuance on my case?
