The Jet VBA file (VBAJet.dll for 16-bit versions, or VBAJet32.dll for 32-bit
versions) failed to initialize when called. Try reinstalling the applications
that returned the error
Applies To :
AREIS Desktop, version 1.00.0014 or later
Symptoms :
The above error message appears when attempting to start the application.
Cause :
There is a newer version of vbajet32.dll on your PC than the Viewer is
expecting. The Viewer's installation program is trying to
distribute version 5.0.7122 of vbajet32.dll. If it finds your system
already has a newer version of this file, it will not overwrite it with
version 5.0.7122. If the version of vbajet32.dll on your system is later
than 6.1.8xx, then an additional file (Expsrv.dll) is also required, which
is not included in the Viewer's setup program.
Resolution :
- Rename you current vbajet32.dll to vbajet32.bak. Reinstall the Viewer.
The Viewer will now copy version 5.0.7122 to your PC (as it cannot find
a newer version anymore). The Viewer should now run correctly. However, this
may have an adverse effect on other software that requires a later version
of vbajet32.dll.
- If you have version 6.1.8xx or later on your system, you should be able
to download a copy of Expsrv.dll to your system (place it in the WinSys
directory) to fix the problem. See the Microsoft web site for more details.
