  • Independence - Impartial and credible. External from the county agency responsible for providing services and free from undue influence. 

  • Impartiality and Fairness - Accessible and nonpartisan. Engages and solicits responses in a manner to instill confidence in actions. Committed to compliance with standards of practice and ethics. 

  • Credible Review Process - Authority to investigate any act or omission and provided with full access to information. Committed to public reporting and accountability. Provides thorough review of governing laws and regulations with authority to recommend corrective actions. 

  • Confidentiality - Follows all confidentiality laws. No information provided to anyone who has not been authorized. 

  • Responsiveness - Listens to your concerns and issues.
