Early Childhood Services

Lucas County Family Council's Early Childhood Department administers programs in Lucas County for pregnant women and children aged birth to 3. There are several programs offered that support parents in the care and nurturing of their children:

  • Early Intervention provides services to infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays and their families. Your family will work with a local team of experts to enhance your child's learning and development while providing support and connection to resources.
  • Early Head Start is a comprehensive program for pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and families. The program is focused on supporting the educational, medical, and social needs of the child and their family. Several different program options are available.
  • Help Me Grow provides support to first-time mothers of infants under 6 months old and expectant mothers through a home-visiting program.
